A delegation from Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi, led by interim AmeerMunemZafar Khan visited prominent religious scholar Mufti Muneeb at JamiaNaeemia. Expressing his wholehearted backing for the march, Mufti Muneeb emphasized its crucial importance, labeling it as the “need of the hour.”
He stressed that it’s a moral obligation for the nation to stand behind any endeavor aimed at aiding the Palestinians, particularly in light of recent events in Gaza. Mufti Muneeb lamented the lack of substantial action from the international community, especially during the recent session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). He criticized the ongoing violence in Rafah, despite orders against it by the International Court of Justice, and condemned the dual standards of nations like the United States in their support for Israel.
JI Karachi’s MunemZaffar underscored the dire situation in Gaza, describing it as a “slaughterhouse” due to Israel’s relentless attacks. He highlighted the staggering number of casualties, including innocent civilians, and criticized the inadequate response from Muslim leaders worldwide. The JI delegation, comprising leaders like Muslim Pervez and Gulbarg Town Chairman Nusratullah, emphasized the urgent need for global solidarity and urged Karachiites to join the Gaza Million March in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians.
