LAHORE- The Motorway Police have temporarily closed several sections of motorways to ensure public safety due to fog.
According to Motorway Police spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmed, Motorway M2 has been closed from Thokar Niaz Baig to Babu Sabu due to reduced visibility caused by dense fog.
Similarly, Motorway M3 has been closed from Samundri to Darkhana, and Motorway M4 has been closed from Pindi Bhattian to Multan.
The spokesperson has advised the public to avoid unnecessary travel and prioritize traveling during the daytime.
The period between 10 am and 6 pm has been deemed suitable for safe travel during foggy weather.
The drivers are instructed to use fog lights on both the front and rear of their vehicles, avoid over speeding, and maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead.
