Motorway Police massively increase fines on various violations; check details

ISLAMABAD – The National Highway and Motorway Police have enhanced fines on various violations including over speeding overloading, wrong loading, overtaking, one-wheeling, driving without a helmet and hindering smooth movement of emergency vehicles.

As per the NHMP announcement, the enhanced fines will be enforced from January 1, 2024 to ensure compliance of traffic rules for road safety.

Fine on over speeding is enhanced to Rs1500 for motorcycles, Rs2500 for cars, Rs10000 for passenger vehicles and Rs5000 for HTVs.

Fine on violation of one-way has been increased to Rs2500, hindering movement of emergency vehicles to Rs5000, over-taking at prohibited places to Rs1500 for LTVs and Rs3000 for HTVs, driving without helmet to Rs1000 and Rs5000 on one-wheeling.

The NHMP have urged people to follow traffic rules for own and other’s safety.
