Political experts and analysts have said that the Narendra Modi-led Indian government is using its probe agencies as a weapon to victimize the op-pressed people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The political experts and analysts in their interviews and statements in Srinagar said India’s dreaded agencies like National Investigation Agency (NIA), State Investigation Agency (SIA) and Special Investigation Unit (SIU) are conducting raids on a daily basis across the occupied territory.

They said the officials of these probe agencies frequently raid homes of Hurriyat leaders, human rights activists, journalists and even ordinary people and implicate them in fake cases. These agencies are meant to intimidate those who refuse to toe the BJP’s line in IIOJK, they added.

The political experts and analysts said freedom-loving Kashmiris are booked under draconian laws for their commitment to the ongoing struggle for right to self determination. People in the territory are being put behind bars for no crime other than their political beliefs, they lamented.

They said the people of Kashmir are determined to pursue freedom struggle, despite all odds. They said that the world human rights groups should take cognizance of the unlawful arrests by Indian troops in the occupied territory.—KMS
