ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on Tuesday congratulated Shehbaz Sharif on swearing in as the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
He extended his felicitations to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on his X timeline.
Besides it, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also congratulated Shehbaz Sharif after he was sworn-in as Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Stephane Dujarric, the UN Chief’s spokesperson, in a statement said the UN looks forward to continuing cooperation with the country on a wide array of issues.
Before this, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Iranian President also congratulated Shahbaz Sharif on becoming the Prime Minister.
It should be noted that Shahbaz Sharif took oath as the 24th Prime Minister of Pakistan yesterday, and he has been elected to this position for the second time.
Prior to this, he held the position of Prime Minister during the coalition-government for almost 16 months.
