A day after the authorities dismissed a teacher allegedly for anti-India activities, Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti described it as an act of criminalising and depriving Kashmiris of their livelihood.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mehbooba Mufti in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the dismissal of the employee a collective punishment to dispossess and disempower people of Kashmir. Manzoor Ahmed Laway, a resident of Kulgam, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, has been dismissed by the authorities and claimed that the employee was involved in anti-India activities.—KMS
