MCC donates Rs 40 million medical supplies to Pakistan

BEIJING Metallurgical Corporation of China Ltd. (MCC) has donated medical supplies worth Rs. 40 million to Pakistan to fight COVID19. According to Gwadar Pro App, the supplies are specially meant for the people of Balochistan to combat the epedemic. The supplies include 200,000 disposable medical masks, 4,000 cases of nucleic acid testing reagents, 2,000 sets of medical protective clothing, 2,000 pairs of medical gloves, 2,000 pieces of medical goggles, 100 forehead thermometers and so on. This batch of donations have been packed into 155 boxes, which were collected and prepared by MCC in Beijing and are being deliveredto Karachi. Banners were pasted on each of boxes with a dictum ofMuhammadAli Jinnah – We are not afraid of the deep sea or the fire, because we believe in the sun and the future. Due to the influence of COVID-19 epidemic, both domestic interprovincial and international transportations of Pakistan have been stuck. In order to cope with such a situation, MCC arranged and purchased the medical supplies urgently and contacted and communicated with Embassy of Pakistan in China so that the donations could be sent to Pakistan as soon as possible.—INP
