Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar said that extracurricular activities are important for youth, however educational studies should be given priority. In today’s era of merit only hardworking youth could get success in practical life. Educated youth are future of this country and city therefore they should be committed with their studies and work hard to serve the nation in a better way.
He expressed these views while addressing to participants of a welcome program for new students held by All Pakistan Muttahida Students Organization (APMSO) in the University of Karachi on Tuesday. Mayor Karachi said that females have majority in our educational institutions, however male students should also make it at this level of their studies with.
Our youth have lot of talent and capabilities, those who studied in Karachi University served the nation and this city and the new ones should remember this that they were going to be part of this great institution in Karachi.
The mayor said that he has come today here to welcome the new students of KU, the APMSO has taken a good step to arrange this event. Replying to a query he said that he met with the Prime Minister yesterday and put up before him the problems of Karachi especially about supply of water and sewerage system, transport and other sectors.
