DALAMAN – Pakistan Navy aircraft participated in the Turkish-Led MAVI BALINA-2024 Anti-Submarine Warfare exercise with NATO and other forces, ISPR said.
In a statement, the military’s media wing said Navy ATR aircraft from 29 Anti-Submarine Warfare Squadron took part in MAVI BALINA-2024 drill, held in Dalaman, Türkiye. This Turkish-led multinational exercise focused on Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) operations and brought together over 30 platforms, including ships, submarines, aircraft, and UAVs, to strengthen coordination and operational capabilities in the Eastern Mediterranean.
MAVI BALINA-2024 exercise aimed at enhancing submarine operations and ASW procedures, saw the participation of naval and air force assets from Türkiye, NATO, the United States, Pakistan, Greece, as well as Special Operations Forces (SOF) teams from Türkiye and Azerbaijan.
The exercise provided platform for nations to practice joint operations and develop stronger collaborative ties. As a regular participant in the MAVI BALINA series, the Pakistan Navy engaged in numerous collaborative activities during the Harbour Phase, including mutual visits, tabletop discussions, and strategic planning sessions.
Pakistan Navy’s active participation in MAVI BALINA-2024 reaffirms its commitment to fostering deeper relations with Türkiye and other partner nations.
