Prominent religious scholar, Maulana Tariq Jameel has formally launched his clothing brand ‘MTJ’ in the Defence area of the metropolis on Sunday.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony Tariq Jameel said, “The purpose of his business is to run seminaries so that they are not dependent on Zakat.”
Apart from Maulana Tariq Jameel and Senator Faisal Vawda, the event was also attended by other famous celebrities from various fields.
Maulana Tariq Jameel informed that the MTJ has been launched in partnership with another private brand.
The brand would sell ‘shalwar qameez and kurtas’ with the principles of Islamic ways at a low price he added.
Clarifying about the gossips, he mentioned that he never desired to make any profit out of this business. The whole idea was to support the seminaries in the financial crisis.
Regarding COVID-19, Tariq Jameel said the whole world has been passing through severe testing times after the virus outbreak.
Tariq Jameel said that they didn’t see such a situation in their lifetime therefore maximum safety measure is needed.
The religious scholar also asked people to pursue the protective measures assigned by the government and health authorities.
On the occasion, Senator Faisal Vawda conveyed Prime Minister Imran Khan’s good wishes to Maulana Tariq Jameel.
