A man axed his elderly mother to death over a domestic dispute and escaped the scene here on Wednesday.
According to police sources, wife of Iqbal hailing from Pakka Laran area of Rahim Yar Khan left the house leaving behind children after a quarrel with mother in-law and started living with her parents.
Annoyed over the situation, accused Iqbal axed his 80-year-old mother Ameeran Bibi to death and escaped the scene. The body was shifted to hospital for postmortem and the police after registering a case against murderer of mother started raids for his arrest.
