The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Wednesday thwarted a major attempt to smuggle automatic weapons into Punjab that might have been used for terrorism in the province.
The ANF seized a large cache of arms from a Toyota Hiace near Attock Toll Plaza and arrested the suspect, who was identified as a resident of Mianwali. The weapons included 10 Kalashnikovs, 2 shotguns, five 30-bore pistols, one Beretta pistol, 33 Kalashnikov magazines and shotgun magazines.—INP
