Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has recovered more than Rs 3.14 million from 188 defaulters in all the five districts- Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Kasur and Okara- on the 201st day of its recovery campaign.
The LESCO spokesman told media here Saturday that on the 201st day, SE (Superintending Engineer) Nisar Sarwar has recovered outstanding dues of Rs 0.55 million from 30 defaulters in Northern Circle; SE Umar Bilal recovered Rs 0.42 million from 28 defaulters in Eastern Circle; SE Shabbir recovered Rs 0.37 million from 16 defaulters in Central Circle; SE Zafarullah Saanghi collected Rs 0.17 million from 17 defaulters in South Circle; SE Muhammad Hussain recovered Rs 0.34 million from 20 defaulters in Nankana Circle; SE Najamul Hassan recovered Rs 0.16 million from 21 defaulters in Sheikhupura Circle; SE Jamshed Zaman collected Rs 0.50 million from 25 defaulters in Okara Circle and SE Ahmed Shahzad Chughtai recovered Rs 0.63 million from 31 defaulters in Kasur Circle. During the 201 days, the spokesman added that the LESCO has recovered a total of Rs 2.87 billion outstanding dues from 100,121 defaulters. He elaborated that up till now the company has collected Rs 424.11 million from 14,548 defaulters in Northern Circle; Rs 671.37 million from 12,950 defaulters in Eastern Circle; Rs 380.26 million from 11,205 defaulters in Central Circle; Rs 159.02 million from 5,884 defaulters in South Circle; Rs 232.33 million from 8,659 defaulters in Nankana Circle; Rs 423.48 million from 11,706 defaulters in Sheikhupura Circle; Rs 185.21 million from 16,008 defaulters in Okara Circle and Rs 395.53 million from 19,161 defaulters in Kasur Circle. Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has detected a total of 166 connections from where the customers were pilfering electricity in all its circles of five districts.
