LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority Governing Body on Tuesday approved Rs96.16 billion budget of LDA UD Wing, WASA, and TEPA for the fiscal year 2024-25.
LDA Vice Chairman Mian Marghoob Ahmed chaired the meeting attended by governing body members, MPAs Hassan Riaz, Naeem Safdar and Sultan Ahmed Bajwa.
As many as Rs59.18 billion has been allocated for LDA UD Wing, Rs34.5 billion for WASA, and Rs2.49 billion for TEPA. LDA governing body also approved classification and reclassification (commercialization) of eight major roads in Lahore. Amendments in the LDA Transfer of Properties Regulation 2023 were also approved.
The Management of Properties of LDA Lease Right, Regulation 2024 was approved. Governing body also approved the establishment of the Directorate of Marketing and Business Development and reforms and recruitments in the Strategic Policy Unit. The authority also approved development works under sustainable development program in Gulberg Scheme and MM Alam road under the urban regeneration plan.
These projects includes underground wiring, expansion of parking, pedestrian walkways, cycling lanes, asphalt work, solar lights, greenbelt, park restoration and others.
