On Pakistan Defense and Martyrs Day, Engineer Syed Sallahuddin Ahmed, CEO of Karachi Water Sewerage Corporation (KWSC), and Engineer Asadullah Khan, COO of KWSC, issued a message reflecting on the significance of the day. Their message highlighted September 6, 1965, as a pivotal moment of national pride and military valor. They noted that despite facing a formidable adversary with superior resources, the Pakistani forces responded with unmatched professionalism and bravery.
The attack by India, launched under the cover of darkness, was met with a resolute defense by Pakistan’s military, who risked everything to protect the nation. They recalled the unyielding spirit of the Pakistani nation during the 1965 conflict, emphasizing that such trials only fortify the resolve of a living nation.
“On September 6, when India initiated an undeclared war, the entire nation rallied to support its defenders, with many patriots rushing to the borders, some even barefoot,” they said.
