With its second defeat in a row, Kuwait on Saturday thrashed Pakistan 4-0 in the ongoing SAFF Cham-pionship at the Sri Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, India on Saturday.

Hasan Al Enezi gave Kuwait the lead in the 10th minute of the match, meanwhile, Mubarak Al Faneni doubled their advantage seven minutes later.

Mubarak put his side in complete control in in-jury time, towards the end of the first half, with another goal.

Pakistan failed to stop the flow of goals in the second half as Eid Al Rashedi increased Kuwait’s lead to 4-0 in the 69th minute of the match.

Kuwait also defeated Nepal 3-1 in their first match. Later today, India will face Nepal in the sec-ond match of the day at the same venue.

It must be noted that India, Lebanon, Kuwait, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives, Bangladesh and Pakistan are competing for the title in the 14th edition of the SAFF Championship.—Agencies
