The Caretaker Minister for Commerce and industries, KP Adnan Jalil said that the KP government would provide all the assistance to investors aiming industrialisation and business promotion in the province.
Speaking at an “ 2nd Investment Business conference” here on Thursday in Peshawar he said that KP has vast potential for investment in various sectors including businesses, economic zones, tourism, mines and minerals.
He termed the integrated tourism zones project as one of the best opportunity for domestic and foreign investors to invest in KP, saying that the provincial government has created conducive environment to attract entrepreneurs and investors.
Director General KPCTA Bakhtiar Khan, Chairman PAEI, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment Vice-chairman Engr Said Mahmood, KP Board of Investment and Trade, Yasir Ali Mehusd President Sarhad Chamber of commerce and industry, Muhammad Ishaq, CTA General Manager for Investment Umair Khattak, representatives of private companies and investors attended the conference.
Director General KP Culture and Tourism Authority (KP-CTA) Muhammad Bakhtiar Khan in his key-note address stated “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Department is committed to its objective of making the province a preferred tourist destination. Efforts are being made to develop new tourist sites and for better management of existing tourist areas. It is important for us to prepare the sites for handling tourist influx during peak season and to harness economic opportunities for welfare of communities.
He told that KPCTA has also launched tourism police force that would be deputed on famous tourist destinations for help and assistance of visitors.
He said that tourism helpline is 1422 also working round the clock for facilitation of tourists and added that we are working for promotion of urban tourism in KP.
He also invited investors to visit KP and invest to explore new vistas of tourism sector in KP.
Addressing the event, Chairman Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industry Khurshid Barlas said the event conference was part of efforts to encourage business and investment in the country, especially in construction and real estate sectors.
Khurshid Barlas said his organisation (PAEI) has represented and protected interests of industry related to exhibition and business events as well as and project opportunities emerging in existing business scenario.
