KP govt implements transparent flour distribution system for poor

In a significant move towards ensuring transparency in government assistance, Provincial Food Minister Zahir Shah Toru announced a Tran formative change in the old system of flour distribution among the less fortunate. Speaking to a media delegation led by Mardan Press Club President M. Bashir Adil and General Secretary Akhunzada Fazle Haq, Minister Toru outlined the new strategy, which involves distributing 10,000 checks to families registered under the Ehsaas program.

The provincial government aims to benefit approximately 50 lakh people in the province through this relief initiative. Minister Toru emphasized that the revamped system is designed to bring transparency and accountability to the distribution process.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur is set to engage in purposeful negotiations with the Prime Minister to secure the constitutional rights of the province. Minister Toru assured that these discussions would not merely be for a photo session but would focus on substantial matters related to the province’s rights. He pledged that the government would not compromise on the rights of the province and would not settle for empty promises.

Addressing the media delegation, Minister Toru declared that if the Center obstructs the rights of the province, the government would consider various options, including approaching the Supreme Court. He emphasized the importance of taking the opposition into confidence, highlighting that the issue transcends party lines and revolves around the fundamental rights of the province.

Minister Toru, who visited Mardan for the first time after assuming office, received a warm welcome from a large number of party workers and citizens. The welcome included a grand procession on the ring road, where party workers showered him with flower petals. Discussing the upcoming month of Ramadan, Minister Toru declared a zero-tolerance policy towards hoarding, adulteration, and the collection of excessive prices.
