In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, normal life was disrupted in Kishtwar district of Jammu region due to a strike against the blasphemous comments by the BJP top officials in India.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the strike was called by the management of Jamia Masjid, Kishtwar, and supported by the local Bar Association. The Muslims and members of Bar Association demanded an action against a BJP youth leader and two members of IKKJUTT Jammu, a regional Hindutva alliance for extending their support to the BJP blasphemers – spokesperson Nupur Sharma and another party leader Naveen Kumar Jindal in India.

Shops and business establishments owned by Muslims remained closed across the Kishtwar town in response to the strike, while transport services were mere skeletal. Lawyers affiliated to the Bar Association, Kishtwar, abstained from work in protest.—INP
