Kohistan Community Alliance has announced to stage protest against occupation and selling lands and depriving people of Thatta Kohistan of their rights and displacing them from their areas located boder to super highway. They announced this while visiting the affected villages the other day.
The alliance leaders including Dr Lakmir Khan Palahari and Mohammed Bux Brohi along with their team approached the villagers of the 35 mile Super Highway Union Council Jhimpeer and met villagers of Sain Dino and Vikio Jakhro the villagers told the team that they had been living in these areas for over last three centuries, but since their lands were valuable due to super highway construction and establishment of commercial projects, the influential men and the Land Mafia who have been forcibly occupying their villages and animals meadows by police force.
They said last night Police raided their villages at midnight and harassed the villagers. The villagers also demanded to complete the pending water supplying schemes approved by public health Engineering.
Villagers said they are being faced enormous issues on the one side they have been deprived of basic facilities, on the other side land mafias and influential men of area have made their lives sadden they said.
