ISLAMABAD – Special security arrangements have been made in Karachi and other parts of the country, including public holiday and a special traffic plan during Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s visit.

A day before Raisi’s visit to the port city, Karachi police issued a special traffic plan for April 23 Tuesday.

Traffic plan shared by Karachi Traffic Police shows Club Road from PIDC to Metropole and Ziauddin Road from Khajoor Chowk to PIDC will be closed for traffic due to security reasons.

Traffic from Sultanabad Road will be diverted towards Khajoor Chowk, Aiwan-e-Sadr Road. Those from Shaheen Complex can turn left from Khajoor Chowk to Aiwan-e-Sadr Road.

The special arrangements were made as Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi landed in Pakistan on Monday on an official visit.

Iranian President will call on President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Senate Chairman Gilani, NA Speaker Sadiq, and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir.
