KARACHI – Partly cloudy weather with light rain/drizzle is likely in Karachi and coastal areas of Sindh on Friday night and Saturday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea penetrate the upper/central parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave affects the upper parts of the country.
Under these weather conditions, hot and humid weather is likely in most districts of Sindh on Friday night and the next day. However, partly cloudy weather and scattered light rain/drizzle are expected in Karachi and other coastal areas of the province during the period.
Karachi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 38-40°C on Saturday and 36-38°C on Sunday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 39-41°C on Saturday and 40-42°C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, mainly hot and humid weather prevailed in most districts of Sindh during the last 24 hours. However, Larkana received 01 mm of rain.
Dadu remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 46°C. The maximum temperature in Jacobabad was recorded at 45°C.
In Karachi, maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 65 per cent.
In Hyderabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 39°C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 52 per cent.
