KARACHI – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted the prevailing cold and dry weather to persist in Karachi, Hyderabad and most districts of Sindh during the next two days.
As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails in most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected across Sindh on Wednesday evening/night, Thursday and Friday.
Dense fog/smog will likely persist in upper districts which will decrease daytime temperatures below normal levels.
In Karachi, the minimum temperature will likely remain between 12-14 degrees Celsius on Thursday and 13-15 C on Friday.
In Hyderabad, the minimum temperature will likely remain between 08-12 C on Thursday and 10-12 C on Friday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed across Sindh during the last 24 hours.
Fog update for Sindh
Cold waves and dense fog/smog persisted in Jacobabad, Hyderabad, Mohenjo-Daro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki, Khairpur, Kashmore and Padidan.
Less visibility disrupted traffic on inter and intra-city roads.
Sukkur remained the coldest place in Sindh where the mercury dropped to 05 C.
Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 93 per cent.
In Karachi, minimum temperature was recorded at 12 C.
Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 77 per cent.
In Hyderabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 08 C.
Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 97 per cent.
