The southern port city of Pakistan, Karachi, is likely to experience above normal temperatures during this summer season due to climate change in the world whereas authorities have starting finalizing the schedule for summer vacations 2024.

The soaring temperatures can cause longer heat waves, putting the health of the port city population at risk. It is the reasons schools are closed in Karachi and other cities of the country to save students from the scorching heat.

The Met office has predicted that day temperatures are likely to remain 03-05°C above normal from 08th to 10th May. It is expected to increase further in June, the peak season of summer weather.

Last year, Summer Vacations began from June 1, 2023 and continued till July 31, 2023.

Summer Vacations 2024 For Schools in Karachi

It is expected that summer vacations 2024 would begin from June 1 (Saturday) this year while the schools would reopen on August 01 (Thursday).

The education department is yet to issue a formal notification in this regard. Details of the summer vacations will be updated here as these are released by the government.
