Institute of Family Medicine-Jinnah Sindh Medical University supervised a computer-based examination for the first batch of the Regional Professional Diploma in Family Medicine.
Vice Chancellor JSMU Professor Amjad Siraj Memon praised the examination arrangement and said that this one-year diploma programme will help in improving the skills of primary healthcare workers.
He expressed hope that Family Medicine professionals can play a positive role in tertiary care units and create better health practices in the community by using the expertise provided to them through this Diploma. He further added that Jinnah Sindh Medical University has developed a reliable and transparent online examination system for different academic programmes.
Chairperson Institute of Family Medicine-JSMU Professor Marie Andrades said the Regional Professional Diploma is a pioneer Family Medicine Diploma in the Province of Sindh and a total of sixteen students from different regions of Pakistan appeared in the examination.
The Diploma commenced under the leadership of Chairperson IFM-JSMU Professor Marie Andrades and supported by Assistant Professor and Director of Regional Professional Diploma in Family Medicine Dr Kiran Zeeshan.
The course faculty included Senior Lecturer Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Lecturer Sadaf Badiuzzaman, and Tayyaba Malik.
