JKLF postpones sit-in for crossing LoC

On Prime Minister Farooq Haider Khan’s appeal, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has postponed its ongoing protest sit-in for crossing the Cease Fire Line (CFL) on Wednesday. Acting Chairman JKLF Abdul Hameed Butt announced the postponement of the sit-in after detailed meeting with Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan and later with UN Observer Mission.
According to details, Prime Minister after meetings with JKLF delegation and UN Observers visited Chakothi and addressed the participants of the sit-in. He thanked people who remained peaceful during their freedom march and later in protest sit in at Jaskool Chakothi. Raja Farooq Haider also thanked Turkey and Malaysian governments who supported the right to self determination of Kashmiris at UNGA.
He said the very foundation of the base camp government is liberation movement for which all available channels are being utilized to raise voice for the oppressed people of Occupied Kashmir. The Prime Minister thanked government and people of Pakistan for their unwavering support to the Kashmiris for their just struggle. He said Kashmir is not a territorial issue between India and Pakistan but the issue of the future of Kashmiris who have been given right to self determination by United Nations.
Raja Farooq Haider said India’s unilateral illegal action on 5th August is against its pledges made with the United Nations. Earlier, JKLF delegation led by Prime Minister Farooq Haider met United Nations Observers in Muzaffarabad on Wednesday. The delegation demanded to halt Indian atrocities in the occupied Kashmir.
Speaker Legislative Assembly Shah Ghulam Qadir, Minister Transport Nasir Hussain Dar, Liberation Front’s Abdul Hameed Butt, Saleem Haroon, Dr. Touqeer Gillani, Abdul Raheem Andrabi and Raffique Dar were among the The delegation also demanded United Nations to should send its fact finding mission in occupied valley.
