Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi’s Acting Amir MunamZafar Khan announced on Wednesday that a historic and grand “Gaza Million March” will take place on Faisal Avenue on Sunday, June 2, to express solidarity with the people of Gaza and Palestine against Israeli aggression and terrorism.
Addressing a press conference at the Noor-e-Haq office, Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi’s Acting Amir MunamZafarKhan outlined the schedule of events, which includes nationwide protests on May 24, a historic demonstration for disabled individuals on May 26, and a boycott campaign against Israeli products at major shopping malls and commercial centers from May 27 to May 30. Additionally, rallies and camps will be set up across the city on May 31 and June 1.
Khan urged the citizens of Karachi to participate wholeheartedly with their families in the Gaza Million March to show support for Gaza and Palestine. Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi’s Acting Amir MunamZafarKhan also expressed deep sorrow and condolences over the recent tragic incident involving Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi’s helicopter, and called for an end to load shedding by the Karachi Electric, demanding the revocation of their license and a national audit.
Notable attendees at the press conference included Deputy Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Saifuddin Advocate, Raja Arif Sultan, Secretary Information ZahidAsghari, Deputy Parliamentary Leader of the City Council QaziSadruddin, and Chairman of the Public Aid and Complaint Cell Imran Shahid. Khan emphasized that the Jamaat-e-Islami stands in solidarity with the people of Gaza and Palestine and will continue its unwavering support against Israeli aggression and terrorism.
