ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Capital Development Authority for completing Jinnah Avenue Underpass in record time.
PM praised the hard work of the entire team, including contractors, engineers, and government officials. The project is expected to ease traffic between Islamabad and Rawalpindi significantly. The event marked a significant step forward in Pakistan’s infrastructure development, with a vision for continued national progress.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony alongside Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Naqvi commended hard work of construction team and officials from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for their relentless efforts in ensuring the timely completion of the project.
Interior Minister further revealed that the next major project, the Sareena Chowk underpass, is expected to be completed within 2 months. He highlighted ongoing government initiatives, including plans for establishing a nursery in capital city. He also mentioned working on building a 5-star hotel in the capital.
He also lauded efforts of ICT police, who facilitated smooth traffic flow during the construction of the underpass. He also shared that the reconstruction of the Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore is progressing rapidly and will be completed in 75 days, with the new facility soon to be inaugurated by PM Shehbaz Sharif.
PM Shehbaz Sharif praised Interior Minister Naqvi and his team for completing the Jinnah Avenue Underpass in just 42 days, calling it a record achievement. He emphasized that such progress is a testament to the power of hard work and determination in building a stronger nation.
