ISLAMABAD –  Good news for school-going students, who will get five back-to-back holidays from October 12 to onwards, as the federal government taking stern measures ahead of upcoming SCO summit.

Three holidays were announced from October 14 to 16 for residents of twin cities. Next week, school and college students in Islamabad and Rawalpindi will enjoy weekend on October 12 and 13 (Saturday and Sunday).

After the weekend, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will remain off for school-going students. These holidays were already notified to facilitating the smooth operation of 23rd Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Council of Heads of Government.

The federal government also approved the deployment of military forces in the capital. This strategic decision highlights the administration’s focus on maintaining security for both the summit and the community.

Students and teachers in the twin cities are eagerly anticipating this extended break, with many planning to take advantage of the time off for relaxation and family gatherings.
