Islamabad administration has declared local holidays from October 14 to 16 in anticipation of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.

Pakistan armed forces will oversee security from October 5 to 17, taking over from the Rangers for the summit on October 15-16, which will involve heads of state from eight member countries and focus on regional cooperation.
