Interior Minister vows not to allow anti-state institutions rhetoric

Strongly condemning the propaganda unleashed against the state institutions, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Monday categorically stated that no one would be allowed to indulge in such activities.

Speaking to MQM-P Chairman Khalid MaqboolSiddiqui, who called on him in Islamabad, the interior minister described the conduct of such individuals as anti-state.

“These institutions are the pride of the nation,” he said, adding those creating obstacles in the way of the country’s progress would not be allowed to succeed in their nefarious designs.

“When it comes to Pakistan, a person’s own interests do not matter.” Speaking on the occasion, Siddiqui said different segments of the society must get united if the country was to make progress. Meanwhile Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control MohsinNaqvi met JamiatUlema-e-Pakistan (JUP) general secretary OwaisNoorani on Monday.

The duo discussed matters of mutual interest including religious harmony, brotherhood and intersect unity.

On this occasion, Naqvi said that the JUP had always talked about Pakistan, adding that unity and positive thinking was need of the hour to steer country out of crisis.
