Indonesia 79th Independence Day celebrated with theme of ‘New Nusantara, Advanced Indonesia’
Indonesia is not yet a role model, but in fact it is an example for political stability, national unity, and economic prosperity and the government of Indonesia is working on a number of projects to make sure that none of the country’s parts/regions is left behind in terms of wholesome progress and prosperity.
These views were expressed by the Acting Ambassador, Chargé d’Affaires (CdA) of Indonesia MrRahmatHindiartaKusuma in his welcome address at a reception the Embassy of Indonesia hosted to celebrate the 79th Independence Day at the Marriott Hotel.
Federal Minister for Housing and Works, MianRiazHussainPirzada was the Chief Guest on the occasion, while Minister of State for Finance, Revenue, and Power, Ali Pervaiz Malik was among the guests of honour.
Chief Guest Federal Minister Pirzada on behalf of the people and the government of Pakistan congratulated the CdA, his colleagues and family, the embassy’s staff and the Indonesia nationals on the auspicious occasion noting Indonesia and Pakistan were two brotherly countries that shared unanimity of views on regional and international issues.
As members of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and other international organizations both Pakistan and Indonesia were contributing to the cause of peace, stability and conflict-resolution in the world, he said. I am confident that the bilateral relations including economic cooperation would continue to grow, said Pirzada.
Earlier, the CdA emphasized improving connectivity and infrastructure which he said not only strengthened the economy but also bolstered the unity of Indonesia.
CdARahmatHindiarta noted that Indonesia and Pakistan had significant untapped opportunities in trade and investment.
