The staff and families of the Embassy of Indonesia spent Saturday taking brisk walk, deep breathing and friendly race in the Fatima Jinnah Park that is also known as F-9 Park.
It also goes to the credit of Ambassador Iwan Suyudhie Amri to float the idea of a get together for his embassy staff and their families in the F-9 Park so that they could have a ‘different’ off-day and spend it in some positive physical activity.
Ambassador Amri was accompanied by Counsellor Culture & Press, Deny Tri Basuki, Senior Staff Member of Economic Section Muladi Mughni, Minister Counsellor for Political Affairs, Andi Bastari, Minister Counsellor for Economic Affairs, Wisnu Hutomo, Defence Attache, Col Dody Taufik, First Secretary Sulaeman, the embassy staff and their families.
One could see small Indonesian children bicycling and their brothers, sisters and mothers running along them in the 780-acre vast park of Islamabad to enjoy themselves natural beauty and greenery there.
While talking to Pakistan Observer during the long walk from E-9 Gate of the park to F-10 gate and then back, Ambassador Amri said last year in November they had a similar get together and walk in the Fatima Jinnah Park and it was decided they would do it again.
The Indonesia Ambassador noted with joy that as compared to the last year, this year he could see more people and families enjoying their day in the park.
