In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leader Advocate Davinder Singh Behl has said that the Indian forces have broken all records of human rights violations in the territory.
Advocate Davinder Singh Behl in a statement issued in Jammu said those who speak against the human rights violations are implicated in different false and frivolous criminal cases by the fascist government which has badly hampered freedom of speech and expression.
He said that India under the barrel of a gun colonized Jammu and Kashmir against the aspirations of the people and was hell-bent to colonize the hearts and minds of the people by using all repressive measures. The criminal silence of the international community has left the occupation authorities scot-free to disempower Kashmiris and settle non-Kashmiris in the territory which is going to com-promise people’s right to self -determination if al-lowed unhindered, he lamented.
Davinder Singh Behl said hundreds of Kashmiris continue to remain in detentions without trial for years in unhygienic conditions which has deteriorated the health of the detainees.
He appealed to the United Nations and other human rights organizations to take cognizance of these violations and send a fact-finding mission to the territory to ascertain the situation.—KMS
