The Kashmir Solidarity day was observed in Sialkot on Friday with traditional national spirit. Several function, gathering and rallies were held in the entire district in that connection. While addressing the ‘Kashmir Conference’ in Daska, the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Punjab Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Pakistan would never stop supporting the Kashmir cause.

She said that the Prime Minster Imran Khan had promised that Pakistan would always support the Kashmiris till the last breath and last drop of blood of the Pakistanis. She said that IIOJK had been under severe lock down by the Indian government since August 2019 and the huge number of Indian armed forces had turned the entire valley in a garrison but the world was silent over those violations of human rights.

She said that the government had tried hard to raise the issue of Kashmir at every necessary level and it would continue doing so. She stressed upon the United Nations (UN) to come forward and play its due part for the resolution of one of the oldest issues on its agenda.—Faisal Khawer Butt
