In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum (JKSPF), Advocate Devendar Singh Behl, has said that India is using every cheap tactic to maintain its illegal hold over Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the JKSPF launched relief campaign in Sundarbani and other areas of Jammu for the people affected by the COVID-19.

Addressing on the occasion, Advocate Devendar Singh Behl said India has no interest in the welfare of Kashmiris but it is only interested in the land of Kashmir.

He said that India had forcibly occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the Kashmiri people were facing difficulties in one pretext or the other due to the anti-people policies and other restrictions by the Modi-led fascist Indian government in the occupied territory.

Devendar Singh Bahl deplored that along with India, corona has also spread all over the occupied territory but the people of Kashmir were deprived of commodities and life-saving medicines.

He added that Modi government had converted IIOJK into a big jail to suppress the Kashmir liberation movement.

The Modi-led Indian regime has also put Hurriyat leaders and activists in jails, endangering their lives.

He said that the Indian authorities had deprived illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and IIOJK of basic necessities including medical care.

He added that senior APHC leader, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, was martyred in custody in Jammu jail as he was not provided timely medical aid.

Devendar Singh Behl said the dream of permanent peace and development in the region could not be realized without resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations and the UN resolutions.

Harbans Singh, Mandeep Singh, Jasvinder Singh, Rajantkor, Cherpareetkor, Jaslainkor, Karpalkor, Sarindar Singh, Aman Deep Singh and others were also present on the occasion.—KMS
