Says Arshad Sharif fell victim to target killing

PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has said the country was passing through the crucial stage of the history and the nation would have to decide between right and the wrong to save the future of the generations to come.
“You are standing at the converge where on one side is the looters and plunderers of the national wealth and on the other who want to save future of the nation.
It’s a decisive moment and if you fail to lend me support against the thieves, you are destined to be treated like goats in the future”. The former Premier cautioned while addressing the Lawyers convention in Peshawar Tuesday.
Lamenting the brutal killing of the senior journalist Arshad Sharif in Kenya, Imran said Arshad was killed in a target killing under a planned conspiracy adding cautioned Arshad Sharif to leave the country before he faces the same treatment meted to Shehbaz Gill and Azam Swati as he was raising voice against the injustice and protection of the people’s rights.
“No matter what anyone says, I know that Arshad Sharif became a victim of target killing”. PTI Supremo said adding Sharif was receiving threats from unknown numbers. “I had received information that Sharif would be killed so that truth could be silenced.” Imran said terming the slain journalist as the most respected figure in journalism.
The PTI chief also spoke about the alleged torture that his party member Senator Azam Khan Swati was subjected to after he was arrested by the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) in a case related to controversial tweets.
