The Peoples Democratic Party General Secretary, Mehboob Beg, has strongly condemned the barriers imposed on the party’s President, Mehbooba Mufti by Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir authorities, preventing her from reaching out to the families of the Poonch victims.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mehboob Beg in a statement in Srinagar expressed concern over the unequal treatment meted out, highlighting the stark contrast in permissions granted to other political parties and ministers while sidelining Mehbooba Mufti.

He voiced his unequivocal support for Mehbooba Mufti, asserting that he stands with her in the face of this apparent discrimination. He emphasized the crucial role that political leaders play in consoling and empathizing with affected communities during times of distress, emphasizing the need for an inclusive approach.

Meanwhile, another PDP leader Mohammad Sartaj Madni in his statement in Srinagar also denounced the authorities for preventing the PDP President, Mehbooba Mufti, from meeting the families of three civilians martyred by Indian troops in Poonch last week.—KMS
