The Islamabad High Court expressed its anger at all the doctors who attended Wednesday’s hearing of a case related to their promotions.
The doctors were instructed to return to their respective hospita-
ls.
“Why do doctors appear in court when we’ve told them not to do so?” asked Chief Justice Athar Minallah. Doctors are needed at hospitals, they don’t need to come for hearings as long as their lawyers are present, he said.
“Doctors have the utmost respect of the courts because they are our frontline soldiers in the battle against the novel coronavirus,” said Justice Minallah.
Doctors from different hospitals in Islamabad have filed a case seeking promotions. The hearing has been adjourned till July 8.
