ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad Electricity Supply Company (IESCO) provides services in the districts of Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Attock, Jhelum and Islamabad.

The company offers lump sum fee package for those who want to apply for new electricity connection, starting from Rs8,500.

When you construct a new house anywhere in the IESCO jurisdiction, you need to follow the application process outlined by IESCO to get new single phase connection.

Steps for Single Phase IESCO Meter Connection

Step 1: Get five copies of Application and Agreement (A&A) form along with Abridged Conditions of Supply free of cost from Subdivisional Offices or Customer Service Centers.

Step 2: Fill up all five copies of A&A form and deposit alongwith one copy of Abridged Conditions of Supply and following supporting documents:

Property or owner-ship proof (Registry)

Consumer Electricity Bill of any premises adjacent to the applied for premises.

Wiring Test Report for all Connections other then Domestic.

An Affidavit that no connection exited previously at the premsis.

Owner’s National Identity Card (photocopy).

Photocopy of Witness’s National Identity Card.

“No Objection Certificate” from the landlord if the applicant is tenant along with landlord’s proof of owner-ship and affidavit mentioned above.

New Electricity Connection Installation Time Period in IESCO Region

It takes around 35 days in urban areas and 45 days in rural areas.

IESCO New Electricity Meter Connection Fee

The new electricity connection fee for single phase is different depending on the length of the service line. The minimum cost for new meter is Rs8,500 if length of the service line is up to 20 meters while it is Rs10,500 if the length is above 20 meters and up to 30 meters.
