The AJK chapter of Hurriyat forum has expressed grave concern over the worst situation in IIOJK and plight of illegally detained Kashmiris including Hurriyat leaders, activists and youth lodged in different jails of IIOJK and India.
The Hurriyat leaders in a meeting in Islamabad said that India and its puppet Hindutva regime was not only resorting to the worst kind of oppression in IIOJK but was also blatantly violating the human rights enshrined in the United Nations charter.
The meeting said that after repealing the special status of IIOJK, Modi fascist government issued domicile certificates to thousands of Indian Hindus and its army personnel and was now evicting the local residents of their lands and rendering them homeless.
They said that under a nefarious plan, Indian government and its regime wanted to hand over these lands to Indian industrialists and permanently settle Indian Hindus there in order to change the demography of the disputed and illegally occupied territory.

The meeting while condemning the ill-treatment meted out to the detainees said that the Indian authorities were subjecting the Kashmiri political prisoners to vengeance.
The leaders appealed to the international human rights organizations to take cognizance of the plight of the Kashmiri detainees and impress upon India to release them forthwith.
