Help International Welfare Trust (HIWT) celebrated its 30th anniversary with a grand ceremony held at its headquarters in Karachi.The event was attended by a host of dignitaries, including HIWT Chairman Abdul Rauf Tabani, his friend Farooq Afzal, Chairman & CEO Pakistan Observer Faisal Zahid Malik, Trustee HIWT, Adil Ahmed Khan, President HIWT, S. Arif Ali, Founder & CEO, Sayyid Mansoob Hasan, General Secretary HIWT, Mrs. Amina Ganny, Chairperson Rehnuma Trust, Syed Muhammad Asghar, Head Public Relations HIWT, Faheem Naz, Member HIWT and other guests.
During the address, Rauf Tabani and Adil Ahmed expressed their gratitude to the organization’s founders, donors, volunteers, and staff for their unwavering commitment to serving the underprivileged.
They also highlighted HIWT’s numerous achievements over the past three decades, including providing free medical care to thousands of Thalassemia patients, establishing vocational training centers for women, and constructing schools in remote areas. A cake-cutting ceremony was held with HIWT’s “Thal Stars” – children suffering from Thalassemia. The event concluded with a cultural program showcasing the rich heritage of Pakistan.
