Health minister approves FJMU annual budget

Under the chairmanship of Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid, the thirtieth syndicate meeting of Fatima Jinnah Medical University was held, in which Additional Secretary Department of Specialized Health Care and Medical Education Shahida, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal, Professor Dr. Javaid Karam, Dr. Hussain Jafari and other syndicate members participated in the meeting.

During the ongoing progress on the under-construction infant block at Gangaram Hospital, provincial health minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid approved the annual budget of Fatima Jinnah Medical University 2022-23 during the syndicate meeting. During the syndicate meeting, the extension of the adhoc appointment of 74 employees in Fatima Jinnah Medical University and Gangaram Hospital has also been approved. Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that work is going on rapidly on the under-construction 600-bed mother-and-child block in Gangaram Hospital.

Students graduating from the medical schools of Punjab are shining the name of Pakistan all over the world. Punjab Thalassemia and Other Genetic Disorder prevention and research institute is the biggest program in the world. Free treatment facilities are being provided to children suffering from Thalassemia in Punjab. Provincial Health Minister also directed to focus on research in medical universities of Punjab.
