Naya Pakistan Housing & Development Authority, Spokesman Asim Shaukat Ali Saturday has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government was focusing poor segment of society and making all-out efforts to provide affordable shelter to deserving people.
Talking to media, he said the government taking special steps for housing loan to lower segment of society as per PTI manifesto.
He appreciated the efforts for initiating different low cast apartments units in many cities to meet this challenge as early as possible.
Private sector developers were also being encouraging to participate in NAPHDA plans and yet around 3 million houses were offered through private & public partnership.
Asim Shaukat said the government was focusing to enable loan process easy through banks.
He said the banks were reluctant to give loan to poor but now the government offering subsidy of 8 per cent markup, which was reduced 11 to 3 percent and clear instruction issued from finance ministry to State Bank for withdrawal of subsidy amount any time so the process could be run smoothly.
He said the around two million application were received but the people who have 20 to 40 thousand salary would get benefit from this scheme on priority.
