Governor inaugurates flower exhibition at Frere Hall

Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori had a very busy day on Friday. He met with various delegations and visited the famous writer Gul Hasan Kalmati.

Later, Governor Sindh along with Administrator Karachi arrived at Frere Hall and inaugurated the 3rd Meri Gold Festival by cutting the ribbon. Earlier, Governor Sindh also presided over the meeting of department heads of KMC.

According to the details, a meeting of departmental heads of KMC was held under the chairmanship of Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesuri, in which Administrator Karachi Dr. Syed Saifur Rehman briefed Governor Sindh on the functions, resources and problems of KMC.

He told Governor Sindh that KMC’s land control in Karachi is 27%. KMC maintains 47 parks and 106 roads in the city.

Governor Sindh while directing the preparation of a five-year plan for the development of Karachi said that KMC is the largest local body in Pakistan and in this sense its responsibility is also high.

KMC officers should work hard for the betterment and development of the city and steps should be taken to increase the revenue of KMC.Later, Governor Sindh visited renowned writer Gul Hassan Kalmati at the local hospital, where he inquired about Gul Hassan’s well-being, and took a briefing from the doctors on his treatment.

On this occasion, Gul Hasan Kalmati presented his book “Karachi Ja Lafani Kirdar (Volume 1)” to the Governor of Sindh.On this occasion, Governor Sindh said that Gul Hasan is the valuable capital of the province.

His writings contain the history of the province. His work on Karachi is an invaluable document on the history of the city.

Earlier, the well-known businessman of Dubai, Abdullah Nasir Lotha, met the Governor of Sindh at the Governor’s House. Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, Salman Fazli and Banker Jawad Majid were also present on this occasion.

In the meeting, increasing mutual trade, investment opportunities in the province, cooperation in health, education and other sectors and other matters of mutual interest were discussed.On this occasion, Governor Sindh said that there are favorable investment opportunities in Sindh province. Karachi, the economic hub of the country, can be invested in health, education and energy sectors.

Facilities are being provided under Ease of Doing Business, will provide all possible support and assistance to the investors.Earlier, a 15-member delegation of Dumper Loader Association, led by Haji Liaquat Mehsud, met the Governor of Sindh at the Governor’s house.

In the meeting, problems faced by transporters, compliance with traffic rules and other related issues were discussed.On this occasion, Governor Sindh said that dumpers and loaders are an important part of economic activities. Adherence to traffic rules is equally applicable to all citizens. Accidents can be avoided by following traffic rules properly.

The delegation apprised the governor of Sindh about their concerns on heavy traffic hours, on which the governor assured them to resolve the legitimate issues.After that, Governor Sindh along with Administrator Karachi reached Frere Hall and inaugurated the 3rd Meri Gold Festival by cutting the ribbon. Administrator Karachi told Governor Sindh that more than 60,000 flower plants produced in KMC nurseries have been placed in Meri Gold Festival.
