Gold rates in Pakistan jump by Rs2200 per tola to another all-time high

ISLAMABAD – Gold rates in Pakistan jumped to another all-time high on Wednesday amid unrest in Middle East.

Data shared by Sarafa Association shows rate of gold 24 carats increased by Rs2,200 per tola and Rs1,887 per 10 grams to reach Rs251,900 and Rs215,964, respectively.

Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also showed a surge to trade at Rs197,967.

Globally, the gold price witnessed price rise of $21, and the new rate stands at $2,388 per ounce.

Gold prices likely to go up to $3,000 an ounce: report

Analysts suggest that gold prices could reach $3,000 per ounce amid increased investment in bullion-backed exchange-traded funds.

The current price hovered around $2,400 per ounce in light of potential conflict between Iran and Israel.
