ISLAMABAD – Gold rates in Pakistan dropped on Wednesday in line with downward trend in the international market.
According to Sarafa Association, the price of per tola gold plunged by Rs300 to close at Rs267,700 whereas the rate of 10-gram decreased by Rs257 to settle at Rs229,510.
The yellow metal also witnessed bearish trend in the international market where per ounce price decreased by $18 with new price settling at $2,569.

Meanwhile, silver price in Pakistan remained unchanged as per tola rate stands at Rs2,950 and 10-gram at Rs2,529.14 without any change.
On September 16, Gold rates moved up to a record high as all previous records were shattered, with prices touching Rs268,000 per tola.
Data shared by Sarafa Association shows big increase in line with global market movements. The cost of gold per tola in the local market has risen by Rs1,700, reaching a new high of Rs268,000. In addition, the price for 10 grams of gold has increased by Rs1,458, now standing at Rs229,767.
