Gold price in Pakistan increases amid positive global cues

KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan saw an upward trajectory in line with rise in international prices.

Data shared by All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association shows that yellow metal moved up, a day after plunging by Rs3500 per tola.

On Thursday, the per-tola price of 24-karat gold moved up by Rs300 and was sold at Rs211,100 in the local market.

For 10 grams of 24-karat, the price saw drop of Rs257 and the new rate stands at Rs180,984. Meanwhile, the 10-gram 22-karat gold went up to Rs165,902 from Rs165,666 on Thursday.

Globally, the price of yellow metal saw surge of $7, and the current rate hovers at $2,013.
