Gold prices went up by around one percent in the international market on Wednesday as Covid-19 jitters assisted the yellow metal to gain some posi-tive traction.
At 1240 hours GMT, gold in the international mar-ket was available at $1,746 per ounce after gaining $16.20 as compared to its closing value on Tuesday last.
Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of yellow metal in Pakistan increased to Rs91,700 after gaining Rs500. The closing prices of the yellow metal in the coun-try remained Rs91,200 on Tuesday last.
Gold prices have, so far, struggled to capitalise on Monday’s rebound from the flash crash to the lowest level since late March.—TLTP
