Minister for Mines and Minerals Development Department Sindh Mir Shabbir Ali Bijarani and Special Assistant to CM Sindh for Investment Department and Public Private Partnership Projects Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar met a German Business delegation here today in New Sindh Secretariat Building Karachi. German Consul General Holger Ziegler headed the German delegation.
According to a statement issued on Monday, Bijarani accorded a warm welcome to German Business delegation and informed them about mineral resources of the province and investment opportunities, especially in the mining sector.
He said that the Sindh government was providing full support to the investors in all sectors, especially in mining and Thar Coal project in this regard.
Qamar informed the delegation about the facility of Public Private Partnership mode in investment and the role of Sindh Investment Department for providing one window facilitates to the investors.
He added: “It is a matter of great pleasure that German businessmen are doing business of roughly 350 Euroes in Pakistan and we offer German businessmen to invest directly in Sindh.”
Secretary Investment Sindh Zahid Ali Abbasi informed the delegation about the investment opportunities in the province.
He also briefed the delegation that there are so many opportunities of investment are available for the Investors in coal mining, marble mining, agriculture, industry, education, infrastructure development, transport and other related sectors.
In the meeting, Mehboobul Haq CEO of Sindh Enterprise Development Fund, Abdul Azim uqaili CEO of Sindh Special Economic Zones Management Company, Abrar Shaikh Project Director Karachi Education City and other officers briefed about their respective departments.
The German delegation expressed interest in mining and energy sectors and expressed the need to continuous contact in this regard. Bijarani and Qamar presented traditional gift of Sindh Ajrak and Sindhi cap to German Consul General.
